Our Story: Initiate Conference was Born and is Back!
In 2018, a small group of professionals from Grand Junction got together with an idea to bring professional development opportunities to the Western Slope for those of us in marketing, sales, leadership, and communications. Through planning, research, and the idea that we all succeed when we're all doing our best, the Initiate Conference was born! The only marketing and communications conference on the Western Slope!
From panelists to keynotes, to awesome lunch discussions and puppies, we've tried to create an opportunity for networking with fellow professionals and provide creative inspiration and planning for you and your organization to have the best year yet!
Our entire executive committee is made up entirely of volunteers. The Initiate Conference is hosted by the Experience Education Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. When we started down this path, we knew it needed to be a non-profit. The event is done out of a passion for our community, and profession. It's a labor of love, to say the very least.
Now, in 2023, we are entering our fourth year. We hope you're ready to tackle a new year and take on the information and tools that our conference speakers are ready to provide.

The Founder of Initiate Conference: Dusti Reimer
Dusti Reimer is the passionate founder of Initiate Conference! From the non-profit organization, Experience Education Foundation, this conference is here to serve you and your expertise in the world of public relations and marketing! Dusti is a 2005 Colorado Mesa University graduate and has been practicing public relations and communications ever since! She also is the proud owner of Elevate PR in Grand Junction!
She is a loving mom, a runner at heart, and loves sharing her creativity through Initiate!

Meet Madison Warn. She is a Colorado Mesa University mass communications student. Madison servese as the General Manager of CMU TV, and the Operational Manager for KMSA. She is the Vice President of the Social Circle on campus. She is passionate about media and video and we look forward to seeing her blossom in her career.
